Hunter House is the only venue in Bendigo to specialise in weddings. Our professional staff are here to personally look after you, your family, and friends on this special day. We provide everything you need to create wonderful memories of your wedding day. Whether it be a formal banquet or an elegant garden cocktail reception, rest assured our award winning chefs will cater for an outstanding celebration. In planning your wedding, our experienced coordinator is there to help you with every detail for your day. A comprehensive planning meeting will be arranged with you to confirm every aspect of your reception—nothing is left to chance. It is very important to us that your wedding day reflects your individual personality and style, and with this in mind we will be there for you at all times during the planning stages and throughout your reception. Knowing that every last detail has been taken care of, all you have to do is enjoy your special day and leave it to us to make your dreams a reality.

Wedding Package
We can offer a total package that is inclusive of the following services and facilities in conjunction with our menu and beverage options(minimum 75 guests).
- Pre-dinner drinks served in our gardens or stately drawing rooms.
- A superb menu with 2 choices from each course
- Personalised menus for table and guest list, both presented on beautiful gold easels
- Damask tablecloths and linen napery, fully skirted guest tables.
- Candelabra table centres for guests’ tables.
- Decoration of bridal and cake table with damask skirting, valance and candelabra.
- Wedding co-ordinator to ensure every detail is attended to.
Menu Selection
All meals are freshly prepared by our award winning chefs. We offer a range of menus from which you can make two selections from each course. Guests with special dietary requirements, such as vegetarian, coeliac, low cholesterol, etc., are fully catered for. We have a range of optional courses such as shared seafood, antipasto, or fruit platters and cheese platters to offer.

Reception Room
Your wedding — Your Way. Feel free to discuss the layout and style of the reception room with our Wedding Coordinator. The bridal table, dance floor, candles, floral arrangements, napkins and table decorations can be arranged in many different ways to reflect your personality and preferences. Floor plans are available to assist you with your seating arrangements. The venue is fully heated and air conditioned.
Garden Ceremonies and Photos
When booking your reception at Hunter House, we are able to offer use of our magnificent private gardens with heritage Victorian gazebo, for your ceremony and photos. We provide seating for your guests, decorated registry table, carpet runner, market umbrellas, and CD sound system, along with full use of our facilities and a staff member to attend the needs of you and your guests
Beauty Therapist
Hunter House offers its own in-house beauty salon. Be pampered for your special day with the latest treatments, makeup, manicures and relaxation massage. A range of wedding packages is also available. Don’t forget the Mothers of the Bride and Groom and your Bridesmaids who may also be in need of some indulgence. Online Wedding Planner
When you book your wedding at Hunter House you will be given your password to access our online Wedding Planner. It’s great for organising your guest list and seating plan. You can even set up your own gift registry for your guests to access.
